I doubt very many people fully believed in the Homo economicus model of human behavior, but surely this book works to further discredit it. I think Martin Lindstrom's work might raise some interesting questions though, like how often are our decisions influenced by non-rationality? How often do we do things like buy Coke over Pepsi or with other products? On what scale does the "emotional side" influence our decision making? This is pretty interesting.
